Ship Inn, Rye

The Ship Inn stands at the bottom of Mermaid Street, one of the most beautiful and picturesque cobbled streets in Rye and has played host to a range of writers and artists over the years. Originally built as the Lord Chief Warden of the Cinque Port’s Stores for confiscated contraband, it now is a lovely, heavily beamed old English Inn.
